In the context of the Symposium Conectados al Sur Chile (2016), the Institute of Communication and Image of the University of Chile together with the Centers for Artistic Creation CECREA of the Minister of Culture, have implemented a laboratory of Digital Communication, based on the methodology of “listening” in which all the activities are designed according to the children’s and youth interests, desires and abilities.
As a result, the Conectados al Sur Workshops, were implemented in the cities of Arica, Santiago, Coyhaique and Temuco, where children could explore and reflect on their own use and appropriation of ICT and also to create digital narratives using different platforms, formats and languages.
